Every beauty is carefully assembled

Every OLLO earcup is made of carefully selected Slovenian wallnut and shaped to improve earcups anechoic chamber acoustics caracteristics to meet the promise of natural and balanced sound.

We tested many shapes and sizes but fall in love with a fully round earcups body.

Removable earpads for fine tuning to your personal liking

For balanced sound and comfort an earpad needs to fit around your ears snuggly but provide enough padding to rest comfortably. HPS has removable pads that you can change when they wore out or if you wish to change the sound balance to personal liking.

Comfort and durability for hours and hours of studio work

During the process of designing our headphones, we talked with audio engineers a lot. What they usually longed for were comfort and durability. It was hard to combine both, as materials that offer comfort usually quickly wear our... Then one day we tried genuine leather and the rest is history. Durability and comfort are definitely leather's middle name.

Prototyping around a street light

We'll never forget the very first prototyping of headband. It was in windy december in Vipava Valley out on a town square. We were out brainstorming about headband and had a sample of stainless steel with us on a table. Right next to our table there was an engineer who overheard our conversation and jumped in with an idea. We tested it right there on town square by wrapping stainless steel around a street light to proove the idea was right. It was a great moment. From then we developed a more compelx solution but still based on that day.

Painting is fun, right?!

It's always a fun day when it's a painting day :) We paint all prototyping series on our own to really take it to perfection. After we are happy the pain job is finised in a dust free environment by OLLO partners.

We feel really nostalgic as we remember first prototypes assembling, all made in a small laundry / storage space next to my twins nursery.. Twins are no longer babies and nor is OLLO. Black Friday batch will actually be the first one assembled in our new workshop / office space. So excited!

Balanced sound reproduction

HPS1 headphones have 50mm speakers that deliver a very balanced reproduction of sound from low to high tones. We made sure that impedance is low enough that you can use our headphones with any standard laptop or smartphone.

Every part of our headphones is carefully designed to deliver the promise of a balanced sound reproduction. But we don't want any shadow of a doubt! That's why the final part of assembling process is testing. Frank the Head tests every headphone we assemble and thus helps us keeping the promise of flat frequency response.
